Equipment

Espresso Machine or Moka Pot: Both are the best for brewing Café Bustelo. The machine also has an option if you want a quantity of coffee, and you can easily replace it with a drip coffee maker. It also needs a grinder when you intend to use whole beans. When you use the pour-over method, you just need to have a kettle to boil your water.

Method 1: Using a Moka Pot

  1. Tare coffee: To make 2 oz of coffee, place 1 to 2 tbsp of Café Bustelo ground coffee in the basket and add to taste
  2. Fill Moka Pot:
  • Bottom chamber of Moka Pot :The fresh water will fill up to the safety valve
  • Coffee basket: Place ground coffee into basket without tamping with straight edge.  Tamp it down.
  1. Assemble Moka: screw top and bottom chambers together very tightly.
  2. You place the Moka Pot on medium heat and let it warm up. This will cause water to boil and pressure that it makes its way to push through the grounds into the upper chamber.
  3. Percolating: Any time you might take it to start hearing the percolate, then your coffee is ready. So, you just ensure that you take out the heat as you get it dry.
  4. Pouring: You will pour freshly cupped coffee into your cup, then can serve black or with sugar and milk.
